Q: Why are we running this course?
A: We believe all men are able to sing. In Scotland there seem to be cultural barriers
that inhibit men from singing. In Wales with a population smaller than Scotland
there are over 140 male voice singing groups.
In Scotland there seems to be less than a dozen.
We in our small way are trying to redress that balance.
Q: What steps do you take to protect minors?
A: We take child protection very seriously as we are anxious to encourage young men to take part
in this course.
We have adopted the Child Protection Policy as set out by the British Association of Barbershop
Singers, and we have an accredited Child Protection Officer.
Q: What do I have to bring to the Course?
A: Nothing, just your voice.
Q: How much does it cost?
A: Nothing. the course is absolutely free.
Q: Do I have to be able to read music?
A: No! The teaching methods we use means that the need to read music is not necessary.
A:What you do with your new found skills is up to you.
We just hope that you enjoy the course and that you continue to develop your singing.
Of course, we will be very happy if you decide to join the ranks of the Rolling Hills Chorus,
but you will not be pressurised into doing so.
